UB Believers. UB. University at Buffalo. The State University of New York.

Dear UB Believer,

I write to you—a supporter of UB who shares our vision that a strong UB will translate into a brighter future for all of Western New York—to invite you to join me when I present my fourth annual address to the community on Wednesday, September 23.

I will be sharing a progress report on the implementation of UB 2020 and focusing on the work ahead for the university and the community to fulfill the promises of our strategic plan.

Launched five years ago as a long-range plan for achieving institutional greatness, UB 2020 has become much more than a University at Buffalo initiative. UB 2020 is embraced by our larger communities as a vital path toward economic revitalization and growth for our region, state, and beyond.

Regionally, as well as nationally, public research universities like UB are playing a more critical role than ever in responding to these challenging economic times.

I look forward to seeing you on September 23 at 8 a.m. in Asbury Hall, 341 Delaware Ave., Buffalo.  Please register by September 21.

Sincerely,

John B. Simpson
President, University at Buffalo
